Vivo City is known as the latest biggest shopping mall in Singapore. It is an iconic retail,entertainment and lifestyle destination that constantly surprises and stimulates visitors with its vibrant mix of retail and entertainment concepts, and a full calendar of exciting festivals and events that will draw both locals and foreign visitors.
The design of Vivo City was inspired by the harbourfront location of the development, which evokes images of waves in the sea. Each space leads intuitively into the next, creating an enjoyable shopping experience.
Inside Vico City, there are many branded merchandises, for example: Nike, Adidas, ESpirit, Crocodile, Levi's, Marks & Spencer, Tommy Hilfiger, The Body Shop, The Fact Shop and so on. All the limited edition goods of many brands are available there. Not only many shops are there, but also a lot of restaurants are also located there. Chinese food, western food, malay food and other ehtnic tastes can be found over there. When you pass those restaurants places, you will smell the creamy aroma and the fragance of the food. And you can see people chatting and laughing when they are having their meals, they are happy.

Chi Jin ting - 'Head for the atm: automated teller mums'.
Summary:
During the June school holidays every year, it is not unusual for teens to spend a bit more. They need cash for those lazy weekdays spent at the movies, shopping malls and restaurants - instead of the classroom. For most teens, that's a no - brainer.
Most of them spend money on food. A few newspaper reports this year have pointed to examples of excessive spending by teens. Some, like Gregory, are opting to dine at fancier eateries, instead of the school canteen. Others empty pockets for romantic gifts.Most teens spent up to $30 on dates with their love interests. Experts generally agreed that teens tend to splirge because most don't earn their extravagant lifestyle.
Most teens get their pocket money from parents and they spend it on outings with friends and buying material goods to look cool and trendy.
To track teen spending, for one day, the teen spenders had to account for every cent spent-from bus rides, to drinks and knick-knacks.They spent it on transport, movie tickets and food.
Tips to save from experts:
1. Set a goal of saving at least 10 per cent of your allowance or income from part-time jobs.
2.Be disciplined. Buy what you need and not what you desire.
3.Don't succumb to peer pressure. Buy what you-not others -can afford.
4.Practise planned purchases, not impulse purchases.
5.Reward yourself by buying something once you have achieved your saving target.

After I read this article, I feel the same. Nowadays, the standard of living and the quality of life of people are generally high. So people want to have more luxurious and comfortable living conditions. Girls want to buy more fashionable and stylish clothes, accessories, watches, wallets or maybe body shape, they concentrate more on their appearance, how they look, what wearing make them looks nice so and so on. And Singapore has many public and school holidays, so that students, teenagers and adults can go shopping more often. But what I think is, we are teenagers, not everyone of us has the ability to make money for ourselves to spend on all things we want, all the money that we spend now is our parents', they work very hard to get their salary, I think we should save parts of it for ourselves, at the same time, to have a habit - save money all the time. We had better do a financial plan per month, make our money more useful and effective.

When the spigots are turned on this Thursday, four mammoth waterfalls will spring into existence, freestanding cataracts roaring down into the East River and New York Harbor in a multimillion-dollar engineering feat designed by Danish artist Olafur Eliasson.
The New York City Waterfalls is the city's largest public art project since The Gates in 2005, when artist Christo and his wife, Jeanne-Claude, adorned 37km of Central Park's paths with thousands of saffron drapes. The artificial cascades will be up through Oct 13.
Eliasson, 41, creates indoor weather systems that incorporate elements like temperature, moisture, aroma and light.An effect he created by using a mist machine, mirrors and hundreds of light bulbs.
For this project, since there are no cliffs for water to pour over, metal scaffolds provide the framework for wach waterfall. A system of pumps carries water up to a trough, where it will be released in a frothy cascade - about 132,485 litres every minute for all four falls. The falls will be turned on every day from 7am to 10pm and illuminated after sunset.
The highest will stand 36m tall, or almost the height of the Statue of Liberty, minus its pedestal. Waterfalls, which overlaps with the last days of a retrospective of Eliasson's work at New York's Museum of Modern Art, is expected to generate at least US$55 milllion in economic activity for the city.
More than 5 million people saw The Gates, including about 1.5 million out-og-town visitors, pumping about US$254 million into the economy. The US$15.5-million cost of Waterfalls was raised by the Public Art Fund, a private not-fot-profit organisation.
Eliasson said the goal of his project was to take spectators beyong the two-dimensional postcard image of the New York skyline.

New York City is really a very attractive, new age and well developed area. Everyone in this world, especially girls, thinking that New York is the heaven for shopping or working. It is really very big and from a lot of American movies products we can see that people who in New York are very very busy for their livelihood. The speed that people manage things is also very fast. But it still looks so charming, whatever it is. I always think that America is the place to gether all the intelligente, clever, smart, talented people there. And also it is a very good place to educate, to born all the genius there. There are lots of opportunities in that city. Super stars, rich men or women, having the best weapons in the world, the richest country - America, a place that everyone wants to go.

There is an inner dialogue that exists within Lock's choreography; the dancers respond to each other in this beautiful language.
A male dancer in a pas de deux with a female dancer in a white dress rises en pointe together with her: It is a beautifu.stunning sight. Later, two men dance a pas de deux.The music by contemporary composers David Land, Blake Hargreaves and Gavin Bryars is exquisite and evocative.
The classical refrain of Tchaikovsky in the muted notes of a violin was punctuated by bursts of mechanical white noise, yet with all its distortion, the composition stays elegant though moody. A pianist, a cellist and two violinists are situated at the back of the stage. The lighting, switching starkly from an unearthly blue to icy white, often snaps abruptly during scenes. The chiarascuro lighting is evocative of film noir with cinematic jumpcuts.
An exquisite masterpiece, Amjad furthers the dialogue between modern ballet and its classical roots in a ferocious, majestic display.

Tchaikovasky's Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty are the two most representative works of him in his whole life. Ballet is the best form to express the music, scene and meaning of these two works. He was a Russian composer, his music is not as same as other composers. His style is constantly changing. So people who study or perform his music are very careful to display the soul, the spirit and the quintessence of them. And by the way, some super stars like S.H.E., they used Tchaikovasky's Swan Lake to be one of their hot song, called "Remember" . Until now, the best pianist which can perform Tchaikovasky's works is Lang Lang from China, Shen yang. He is a genius born for piano. He is crazy when he is performing. I like his music very much but the pity thing is he didn't compose many pieces of works. That's sad.

Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system released in January last year has flopped with customers, many of whom are clinging to its predecessor Windows XP.
Free online programmes that compete with Office and other packaged software sold by Microsoft. Microsoft failed in a recent bid to buy Yahoo. A founder takes such a larger-than-life role and directs a company in very subtle ways that are often forgotten when a founder leaves. That gap, for a lot of companies, has been almost terminal.

Bill Gates is one of the most successful and the richest person in the world. Because he can make just few hundreds of dollars to become thousands of millions and billions by building one of the biggest company - Microsoft. Computers are now being more and more popular in today's society, if Bill Gates didn't invent the essential system software for each computer in the world. Then I can't imagine how the computer is working today. I mean he is so great. And last but not least, he is so generous, he has pledged to give his S$41 bilklion fortune to charity - rather than leaving it for his children. I think the spirit and thought that he has it's really kind. The charitable deeds that he does can help a lot of people who are suffering in drought,flood,any disasters or having problems to get education or healthcare. He is a really kindhearted man. Hope the money that he donated can help more people in the world.
